Spreads full of nutrients
Home-made spreads are an excellent alternative to purchased pâtés.
Homemade spreads can be healthy and fully nutritious meals, replacing brunch for those living fast-paced lives. They may also add interesting and healthy variety to dinner parties or be a compete meal on hot summer days. Depending on the ingredients in your spread, combine them with vegetables or homemade wholesome breads.
The basis for spreads should be:
- Legumes (chickpeas, lentils, beans, peas)
- Pumpkins
- Tofu
- Avocado
- Small wild fish (sardines, mackerel, etc.)
- Home-cooked lean meat (chicken, rabbit, etc.)
- Mushrooms (common mushrooms ...)
Optionally, mix them with your favourite spices, vegetables, seeds and quality salts.
