Specialist, trainer – Move Well
Dr Maja Pajek, associate professor at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Sport, holder of PhD degree in kinesiology, lecturer and promoter of healthy lifestyles and a member of the sport for all expert council in the Olympic Committee of Slovenia
Maja graduated and received her doctorate from the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana, where she works as an associate professor. She has been closely associated with sport from an early age, and over the past 10 years she has focused on physical activity as a way of maintaining health – i.e. exercise as a function of health.
As a doctor of kinesiology and associate professor, she teaches healthy lifestyles to different target groups: coaches, parents, employees in companies, mangers and athletes. She carries out practical training in health workshops and is the author, lecturer and head of training programmes aimed at sports professionals in the area of recreation. As Chair of the Expert Committee with the Sports Union of Slovenia, she is closely involved in the Health-Friendly Organisations project.

As a member of the sport for all expert council of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, she organises sports congresses for different target groups, including employees, the disabled and the elderly, and is the team leader in charge of renovation as part of the training programme in the field of sports recreation. As a professional associate, she participates in the European Active Businesses project. She collaborates with a number of sports associations and coaches. She advises athletes and their fitness coaches in the process of preparation for competition seasons and carries out individual training programmes aimed at health preservation and maintenance.
