BARBARA SUBOTIĆ, economist. Since 2013 Barbara Subotić has been a Pilates mat instructor for Slovenia with the UK’s “Association of Fitness Professionals” corporation. In 2014, she became the first official pre-trainer for GYROKINESIS® exercises in Slovenia.

She currently works as a certified instructor for group and individual GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® exercises, exercises during pregnancy and Pilates reformer exercises in Her own studio. Between 2004-2013 she worked in Ljubljana's Pilates Holistic Centre. Also she worked as certified instructor in »The Studio« in Beirut, Lebanon.

During the academic year 2011/2012 she worked as an external associate for the Pilates course at the University of Ljubljana, University Sports Centre. She presented Pilates as a method for preventing osteoporosis at a Hartmann Slovenia press conference and at a Servier Pharma d.o.o. conference in 2009. From 2010 to 2012 she worked with Roche d.o.o. as an instructor in workplace training.

As part of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Education in 2012 she held a lecture on the topic of healthy lifestyles at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana aimed at teachers in primary and secondary schools. 

She lectures non-professional Pilates trainers in the Gymnastics Association of Slovenia and the Faculty of Sport's Centre for Lifelong Learning. With more than 10 years of relevant experience, she constantly develops professionally in Slovenia and abroad in the field of GYROKINESIS®, GYROTONIC® and Pilates. She deepens her knowledge of GYROTONIC® exercises in rehabilitation workshops. 

She has completed training programmes for the rehabilitation of the pelvic and shoulder girdles. She has enriched the basic GYROKINESIS® training programme in special workshops with the LOTUS BLOSSOM 1 floor training and HAPPY MOVES chair exercises. Both types of exercises are practiced to the accompaniment of music.
